These domestic getaways will have you dreaming of your next trip without kids. Get ready to book!
Looking for a romantic getaway to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life? With kids, work and the demands of life, it can be so hard to find the time to connect with your partner on a regular basis. My favorite way to reconnect, recharge and get reinvigorated for life as a parent is by taking a trip—just the two of us.
While a trip abroad always sounds like a fun adventure, many of our getaways are quick and over a weekend or long weekend, so staying within the U.S. is easiest.
Thankfully, the United States offers a wide variety of domestic destinations that are perfect for couples seeking a romantic retreat. From picturesque mountain towns to charming coastal cities, here are some of the best domestic getaways for couples in the US.

For wine-loving couples, Napa Valley is an idyllic destination. I love Sonoma as well and it has a little more rustic vibe. The rolling hills and vineyards provide a picturesque backdrop for romantic picnics and wine tastings.
Plus, the restaurants are incredible! Personally, anywhere in California wine country sounds like a dream trip to me!
Savannah, Georgia
The charming city of Savannah, with its moss-covered trees, historic architecture, and southern hospitality, is the perfect place for a romantic getaway.
Couples can take a leisurely stroll through the historic district, enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride, or indulge in some delicious southern cuisine. It’s one of my favorite historic cities to visit.
