Is it just me or does warmer weather make it easier to simplify everyday life? I notice it most in two areas of my life — what I’m wearing and what I’m eating. Those two things also happen to be two of my favorite parts of the day, but I digress.
I no longer have to think about layering sweaters over, shirts and finding the right scarf to match. Instead, I reach for the simplest of pieces. And for whatever reason, my simple outfits look so much cooler and effortless than they did all winter. A simple sundress and sandals and you’re done! Between moving, unpacking, traveling and a hectic work schedule, simplifying certain aspects of life has been really helpful in keeping me sane!
A few weeks ago I wore this simple white shirt, my boyfriend-style jeans (I love these because they’re not too oversized), and a good pair of strappy black heels. A leopard clutch added just enough color and pattern to make this outfit a favorite.
Now back to the food. Lately, I’m finding myself craving simple salads with really fresh ingredients, grilled meals and Mexican food — which might sound weird, but I did not get enough of it when I was in Dallas this weekend. I’m trying to figure out how to make Taco Diner’s green salsa and this recipe looks pretty spot on!
Happy hump day guys!
