Boyfriend Jeans + Rooftop Brunch

Several weekends ago, the weather warmer up for a few days and the sun came out and lucky for me, I had a brunch scheduled for the rooftop of Cindy’s with some of my favorite bloggers in Chicago. It’d been a while since I’d gone out for brunch, so I was especially excited. If you’re familiar with Cindy’s, it’s got one of the best views in the city. It looks over Millennium Park and you can see the Cloud Gate, Pritzker Pavillion and the lake.

 

 

I knew the day was going to be a long one, so I opted for a casual outfit that could double as a cute outfit and comfortable enough for my long list of errands. To dress up my boyfriend jeans, I paired it with a leopard clutch which added a pop of color and texture. The morning started with a quick shoot down by the river before walking in the sunshine to the Chicago Athletic Club, where Cindy’s is located.

 

 
Brunch was filled with lots of mimosas, cappuccinos and a whole bunch of delicious food! We made the reservation through DINE by Tasting Table. It’s a brand new app that curates the best and most popular restaurants in the city. It allows you search by cuisine, neighborhood or even a special feature. You can even by specific topics like “Best Weekend Brunches” or “Hot Tables”. While those are great, the best thing though, and the thing that really separates it from other restaurant apps is that it’s backed by a dedicated team of Tasting Table editors who are constantly working to keep the app fresh and full of new ideas! The food is served family style at Cindy’s so we ordered a few orders of their delicious salt and pepper biscuits to start. We also ordered the chilaquiles, croque madame, quiche Lorraine and the French toast. It was more than enough food for the 10 of us, but it was all so delicious!

This little bout of warm weather was just the thing I needed to get me through the rest of winter. I also can’t believe that I’m leaving for Mexico in just a few short days! I cannot wait for dresses, shorts and swimsuits!
