Happy Monday! Do you have today off for President’s Day? We’re still in Miami, but head home around noon today. I’m not super excited about going back to the cold weather, but I will be happy to have my own bed and have Owen back in his own room! We had a few middle of the night wake-ups and I’m hoping that getting back into a normal routine solves that quickly!

Our trip definitely made me long for Chicago summers and while we’re nearly through February, it still feels like a long way off! Either way, we have a few more warm weather trips planned in the next few months and I did a little shopping the week before we came to Miami.

Ruffle & Peplum Tops

One of the pieces I bought was this adorable striped peplum top. It’s casual and comfortable and the pink is such a pretty shade. I love it paired with these fun open toe booties and jeans, and will be wearing it with these sneakers and jean shorts when the weather warms up!

So, where are we going? We’re headed to California at the end of March to spend time with Rob’s whole family and then I’m heading to Dallas in mid-April.

We went to California with his family last year and his parents loved it so much they decided to stay out there for an extended period this year, so Rob’s sister and her husband and our little family will be flying out over Easter weekend. I’m heading to Dallas for a blog conference, but it’s also my dad’s birthday and my mom is hosting a sip and see for her friends to meet Owen!

I love having trips spaced out like this throughout the winter to help get me through. By the time those are done, it’ll be about time for it to really start feeling like spring and summer in Chicago!
