My love affair with Copenhagen that is! Typically my travel posts just give you a quick glimpse into the highlights, but this day was so amazing and perfect, I decided to take you through the whole thing in chronological order of one day during our trip to Copenhagen.
We woke up late and had brunch at Mother’s, a great pizza place with a really awesome brunch buffet. The decor in here was also amazing! Everything was so simple, but so cozy, rustic and warm. After our yummy brunch, we walked over to Tivoli Gardens, one of the oldest amusement parks in the whole world. We walked around a bit and then, yes, we rode the spinning chair ride for incredible views of the city. However, if you’re afraid of heights or get motion sick really easy, then I would say this ride probably isn’t for you. If not, do it! It’s fun, makes you feel like a kid again and really does give you a great view.
After wandering Tivoli for a bit longer, we just wandered about the city and found ourselves by the canals. It was so beautiful! The canal was lined with colorful boats in front of a street filled with colorful homes. Everything here is pretty photogenic, don’t you think? Our last stop of the afternoon was for a beer on the canal. There are no open container laws here, so you can freely stroll with a drink in hand, so we picked up a couple of beers at the nearest 7-11 and plopped ourselves down and just enjoyed all the beauty around us.
This was definitely one of my favorite days of our trip. Stay tuned for part two of Copenhagen, I took so many pictures, I couldn’t fit them all in one post!
