Yesterday felt completely like fall here in Chicago. I know that’s not true around the world, but it was truly amazing yesterday. We cooked soup for dinner, lit candles that smelled much like a Starbuck’s pumpkin spice latte (can’t wait for that again!) and I wore a sweater. Honestly, I’m ready for fall! It’s by far my favorite time of year and seems to put me in the very best of moods.
That being said, it did get me a little thoughtful on what a wonderful summer we’ve had. I went to Europe with my sisters, partied in New Orleans for Erin’s bachelorette, lounged on the beach, watched movies in the park, celebrated two friends’ weddings in Dallas, went to Lollapalooza, had a best friend visit from out of town, got engaged, and went on a surprise trip to Quebec with Rob, and finished the summer with a quick road trip to Madison, WI. I think it goes without saying, that I’ve had a wonderful and blessed summer and as excited as I am for the next season, I couldn’t be happier for the previous one!
So cheers today to the official end of summer and start of fall, whether it feels like that in your town or not!
