Thanks to Ann Taylor for sponsoring this post!
But, florals for fall? Definitely not as common!
Either way, I kind of love it. Florals add a nice, organic and playful element to any piece, while the colors—dusty rose, violets and gorgeous greens—make this feminine dress feel totally appropriate for fall.
I picked it up at Ann Taylor, and I’m obsessed with this pretty print! If dresses aren’t your thing, Ann Taylor makes a shirt in the same fabric. I also picked up this dress after debating between it and this shirt.
This look was perfect for our date night this past weekend. I’m pretty adamant about date nights during football season because Rob is easily distracted. Having just one night away from home and the TV is my favorite way to reconnect and just relax—even if it’s just for a few hours!
It was actually chilly this weekend, which was fun because I got to bundle up in this gorgeous blue coat. The color is a perfect shade of oceany-blue and the cut is so classic! I also pulled out these chestnut brown leather booties (also in black, suede and embossed leather) to complete my look.
We walked to dinner at one of our favorite spots, and walked home too. Even though it was a bit chilly, Michigan Avenue looked so pretty and we couldn’t resist! The streets are a little quieter than summer which makes for a really lovely evening stroll! There’s something so romantic about this time of year, don’t you think?!
What do you think about florals for fall? What’s your ideal date night?
