I’m a sucker for a pretty floral print when spring and summer rolls around. If winter lingers extra long, at least a pretty floral brightens up my day! What I love about the print on this skirt is that’s versatile. Yes, florals are spring’s print, but the dark backdrop makes it a skirt that you can wear now and throughout summer.

Transitional Florals

While it’s still a bit chilly, I love pairing skirts with thin sweaters for a little extra warmth, but without the bulk of your typical sweater. If you read last week’s post on nursing tops, this wrap sweater would be pretty perfect! I’d wear a nursing tank underneath and this over it—cute and functional!

Spring Shoes

It looks super cute with jeans too, for those days where it’s still too cold for a skirt. I paired this outfit with these cute suede sandals, but if you’re not ready for open-toed shoes just yet, it would look super cute with a pair of ankle boots, like these or these.

Technically we’re still in the middle of winter, but, knock on wood, I think the worst of it is behind us! A few weeks ago we had a couple of 60 degree weather and that little taste made me so happy. Whenever we hit that point and we start getting more days in the 50s and 60s, I get really excited. I live for summers in Chicago, they’re seriously the best, and it can’t come fast enough!
