What’s Your Favorite Color?

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved color, but my favorite color has changed over the years. When I was in kindergarten, my favorite color was easily pink. My walls, bedspread, pillows and lunch box were all various shades of the rosy color! I grew out of my girly girl stage sometime in fourth grade when I traded gymnastics for soccer, and hair bows for hair ties.

I started thinking about my favorite color again this fall, because I’ve noticed that this gorgeous red-wine color is suddenly the most prevalent color in my wardrobe! But, can you really blame me? It’s truly the color of fall—warm, rich and cozy! Naturally I’m getting as much of it as I can.

This sweater from Modcloth is the latest addition to my ever-growing collection. It’s loose and draped and looks just as cute with a pair of skinny jeans as it does with this corduroy navy skirt. The cowl neck is thick and warm, which was perfect for the day I wore this because it was cold! Chicago seemed to go from summer to winter in a matter of days. It better warm up a bit, because fall is my favorite season!

I paired my sweater with this cute skirt—I love these two jewel tones together! I added these darling lace up booties (boots would be so cute too!) and this bag for a cute, but still casual look. Also, this bag is magical and makes me feel like a bit like Mary Poppins. I just kept adding things, and couldn’t believe that everything fit!

While wine or oxblood is clearly my favorite color this fall, my real favorite color is green. Ironically, I have very little green in my closet, but I do have lots of plants, ha!

What’s your favorite color for this season? What’s your “everyday” favorite color?

BTW, the dress I’ll be living in all fall, and a casual cute outfit for work.
