When It’s Perfect
When you live in a city like Chicago, you learn to appreciate sunny days with a whole different perspective. Coming from Texas, winter and snow were exciting, but after a couple of months of that, I realized just how much I love the warm weather.
The first weekend in May was a perfect example of one of those sunny days. We spent the entire day and night at a friends house sitting on the patio enjoying the weather and celebrating Cinco de Mayo and the Kentucky Derby. I figured there was no better time to debut this embroidered top than Cinco de Mayo. It was also the first time I pulled out white jeans this year (I’m obsessed with this ripped ankle pair).
With the new season rolling in and finally sticking around, I’m finding myself wanting to do a lot of shopping. I currently have my eyes on this dress and this dress and this cute top from last week’s summer round-up. Oh and I’ve decided I’m most definitely ordering this cute one-piece as a birthday present to myself! Can you tell I love Anthro?
The next day was overcast and dreary, so I was extra thankful that we had spent so much time outside the day before. I’ll be crossing my fingers that this weekend is just as beautiful!
