One of my all time favorite things to do in the spring and summer is to host a girl’s night. It’s one of the easiest and most care-free ways to get all your girlfriends together in one place and it’s the perfect mid-week break to take your mind off work, stress and simply relax!
Since we just moved and I’m still getting things situated, I wanted my latest girl’s night to be very very easy. I picked up a couple of cases of Palm Breeze sparkling alcohol spritz at my local liquor store, which is conveniently located just one block from me and popped them in the fridge and just like that, drinks were taken care of! Palm Breeze comes in two delicious tropical flavors — Ruby Red Citrus and Pineapple Mandarin Orange. It’s a flavored malt beverage which means it’s made from a malt base, similar to beer, and is aimed directly at women like you and me who are doing their best to enjoy life and live it to the fullest! Both flavors are crisp, refreshing and light! If you like something a little sweeter, I recommend you go with the Pineapple Mandarin Orange, and if sweet’s not your thing, you’ll love the Ruby Red Citrus. Personally, I had a hard time picking a favorite as they’re both so tasty!
Instead of serving Palm Breeze straight from the can, I decided to serve the Ruby Red Citrus flavor in our monogrammed copper mugs with a grapefruit twist, little slices of fresh grapefruit, a sprig of rosemary for color and a cute striped paper straw. I love that little things like this are so easy and elevate the look of a small gathering. I served a quick and easy appetizer (recipe below) to go with our drinks and we enjoyed them in my new living room over conversation of summer travels and upcoming events.
I can already envision our next girl’s night. We’ll be enjoying each other’s company, poolside, with Palm Breeze while the sun sets and we enjoy the warmth after the long Chicago winter! If you haven’t tried Palm Breeze yet, be sure to to pick some up soon and if you’re in San Diego, DC, Austin, Dallas you can RSVP for the Palm Breeze & Blo Bar Events happening in those cities.
