On my eighteenth birthday, my mom gifted me a necklace that belonged to my great grandmother on the ‘Blair’ side of the family (and now you know where I got my name). Since then, vintage jewelry with history and meaning have always been more interesting and special to me than fashion jewelry.
So when I learned about the vintage-inspired jewelry line, ExVoto Vintage, I was intrigued. They create special, one-of-a-kind pieces that put a twist on what vintage means. I love the unique approach ExVoto Vintage takes in finding vintage pieces and giving them all new life! The Harper Necklace I’m wearing is made from pendants cast from original keys and art deco pieces that the designer, Elizabeth Adams, found in flea markets during her travels. It’s heavily plated in 18kt gold which gives it the feel and weight of a vintage piece.
The pieces can easily be layered and connected to make different lengths to create a whole new look. The simple Minny necklace makes for a great connector if you’re looking for a longer way to wear the Harper necklace.
When fall hits, I wear a lot of basics and these ExVoto Vintage pieces elevate the look of this simple outfit by adding texture and interest. I love the antiqued gold color and the versatility of both of this necklace and cuff. I can literally wear them with just about anything!
Another cool fact? A portion of all ExVoto Vintage sales goes to The Cure Starts Now Foundation for Pediatric Brain Cancer Research (find out why here). Gorgeous, vintage-inspired jewelry that helps to support a great cause — what more could you ask for?!
