A new name, URL, and a new design. Why you ask? For the past few months I’d started getting frustrated with my old blog name. It felt limiting and a little run of the mill and wayyy too long (how annoying is it to say my blog is design DASH that DASH inspires.com?). The name made sense when I originally started the blog. It was a place to post all my inspiration for web and blog designing. And then Pinterest happened and the need for a place to collect inspiration was solved in a more efficient way. Though I do write about design frequently, it’s not all I write about and I felt like there was this disconnect between the name and the content and I finally decided that if I was going to change it, now was the time! So when it came to a new name, I wanted something that was quirky, witty, and more personal. Over the past year, this has become a place where I share more personal stories, home projects, and personal pictures and I felt that it called for a name that was more me. After plenty of internal debating and asking friends and family, I decided on The Fox and She. If you follow me on here or Instagram, you’ll know that Oliver, my fox, makes more appearances on there than anyone else! So it just fit. On the topic of new, Leap also got a bit of a weekend makeover. The past month or two I’ve been stretching myself too thin and knew something needed to change. After talking to Jess, we decided it would be best for my business and my sanity to narrow down my services to focus on the things I’m best at. We also created a purpose statement, which gives everyone a quick explanation of what I do: WordPress design for the stylish blogger. While I’m still offering one package for the Blogger platform, WordPress is my focus. And boy it is it a fun world! It’s already been such a relief thinking that I won’t be losing sleep when my to do list gets too overwhelming. So if you get a chance, please stop by and let me know what you think of the new Leap! And of course what you think of the new blog!I probably should have left you last week with a little teaser of the changes, but I like surprises, and hopefully you do too. Anyway, its safe to say I’m pumped about both the changes here and at Leap and I’m looking forward to see what comes next! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend and a beautiful Monday!
