Have a Restful Weekend

perfect pair of jeans, relaxing weekend, weekend links

Hello lovelies! You might have been expecting an Instagram roundup today, but guess what? I didn’t do it and I’m not sorry about it. Rob was home sick all week long and finally went back to work on Friday. For whatever reason I have such a hard time focusing when he’s here, even if he’s asleep on the couch!

So as you might imagine, Friday was busy because I finally felt like my normal work-day self. I did a bunch of laundry, cleaned and sanitized our place — I do not want to get what he had — and finally sat down and just wrote. All week I felt like I was in a bit of a creative funk and writing was near impossible. I chatted on the phone with my mom and sister yesterday morning and it was just what I needed. They’re both such insightful and encouraging people and I felt so rejuvenated and inspired after I got off the phone!

What are you up to this weekend? We’re celebrating Rob and our friend Corey’s birthdays (they’re both born on February 8th) with a pizza and beer brunch in Wicker Park this morning. I’m a sucker for a good pie and beer! Sunday is Valentine’s Day (I nearly forgot!)! It’s suppose to be cold and snowy, so I plan on cozying up, relaxing and doing some writing before we celebrate our traditional way with a fancy dinner at home! Hope you have a great weekend and here’s a few fun links to check out…
