Does this top look familiar? It should. I wore it in a story last week (oops) and I’m so in love with it, I’m already wearing it again. Actually, the true story is that I had packed a different outfit to shoot, but put this shirt on with this skirt and liked it so much, I changed my mind! I love happy accidents like these!

This past weekend Rob and I flew to Dallas for a TCU game. TCU (our alma mater) is actually in Fort Worth, but all of our friends and my family live in Dallas, so we always stay there. It was so fun seeing everyone and again, stepping away from technology — seems I’ve been doing a lot of that lately.

Being back on campus is always sort of funny. First off it looks totally different than it did when we were in school. Now there are so many new (cooler-looking) buildings that popped up along the grounds. Being there also brings up hilarious stories from college and gets me thinking about old memories, so I thought I’d share a few things that you don’t know about me. For the most part, I feel like I’m pretty open about our lives on my blog, but at the same time, it’s not a diary, so there’s still plenty you don’t know.

1. I played volleyball my freshman year of college on the practice squad. I quit after a year because I liked going to parties more than practicing.

2. I studied abroad in both high school and college in Spanish-speaking countries and think those two trips are the things that led to my love for travel and adventure. My Spanish was pretty good at one point, but is terrible now.

3. Rob and I didn’t date until after college even though we met each other our sophomore year in college. Good things take time!

4. I used to be insanely picky. I didn’t eat sandwiches with lettuce on them or sushi until I got to college. Even though I’m far less picky than I was in high school, I still despise mayonaise and runny egg yolks.

It’s funny to think about how much we change in just a few short years, but also reminds me that nothing is permanent and life is always changing and so are we! I still can’t believe it took me so long to try sushi though, what was I thinking?!
