The very last day of 2015 — can you believe it?! Our plans for this NYE are far different than past years. We’re staying in and cooking a fancy dinner for just the two of us and then heading out to see the rising star across the river before calling it an early night. I think this means we’re getting old…?
Either way, I’m pretty excited about doing a whole lot of nothing and waking up feeling good. The rest of the holiday weekend will include homemade cappuccinos from our new Nespresso machine, catching up on blog posts for next week and working out — cliche, but it’s happening anyway.
In honor of what an incredible year 2015 was, I decided to round up my favorite outfits from each month. It was pretty fun to see the year in review and see how my hair changed – it’s grown a ton and is now quite a bit blonder. I hope you have a safe and fun New Years’ Eve and I’ll see you in 2016!
JANUARY: I remember this day vividly because it was FREEZING! I shot this outside the Waldorf Astoria with Jess & Kelly and immediately hurried back inside. Sometimes the things I do to for this blog amaze me, ha! See the full post here!
FEBRUARY: This day was also cold, but somehow I managed to get out the door in a skirt. It was so dreary! The theme of winter outfits is typically layers like this cape. See the full post here!
MARCH: This was one of my favorite shoots from last year! It was beyond frozen and snowy outside, so I popped into the Lincoln Park Conservatory with John to shoot a few spring inspired looks. It was so warm in there and now I’m thinking I need to go back. See the full post here!
APRIL: I got this flowery dress several years ago, but it continues to be a favorite. It fits like a dream! See the full post here!
MAY: This look was another one of my favorites. It’s super simple, but so classic. You can really never go wrong with a white button up and boyfriend jeans, right?! See the full post here!
JUNE: This past summer I spent two glorious weeks living in London with my friend Megan. It was such an incredible trip and I hope I get to something like that again this year — #travelgoals. This shot was taken while wondering the colorful neighborhood of Notting Hill. See the full post here!
JULY: I wore this outfit last summer when I spoke at the Southern Blog Society (now The Blog Societies) conference in Charleston. I really don’t like public speaking and it was a big deal for me to get up in front of all those people and not clam up. I don’t know if I’ll do any more speaking engagements, but I was proud of myself for challenging myself to do it! See the full post here!
AUGUST: I bought this dress for my rehearsal dinner and continue to wear it on special occassions. Camilyn Beth makes dresses in beautiful feminine cuts and colors! See the full post here!
SEPTEMBER: The day Shaheen shot this picture it was actually really hot. I love this outfit though and have worn it a few times through fall and into winter. Now I’m trading my booties for boots. See the full post here!
OCTOBER: This day was one of my most favorite this past fall! Shaheen and I spent it shooting outfits in several spots in the West Loop and then ate lunch at City Winery. It was a gorgeous day and so fun! See the full post here!
NOVEMBER: This dress was most definitely my top selling product this year and I totally get it. It’s simple, striped and so versatile. I’ve worn it in the summer and fall and continue to wear it with winter. It’s definitely one of those purchases I’m so happy I made! See the full post here!
DECEMBER: This shot was taken just before Christmas. December had been pretty warm up until the past few weeks. Lately I’ve been living in long cardigans like this one and these loafers? Another great purchase of 2015. See the full post here!
