I’m really hoping that Oliver’s chewing on everything stage is coming to an end in the coming months. He’ll be one at the end of September and I’ve heard that’s when they start to outgrow it. I also just splurged on a fair amount of indestructible dog toys — the one that smells like bacon has become a quick favorite! So at the very least, maybe those will distract him from my dining room furniture.
Rather than doing a complete overhaul, I really just need to replace my chairs with something more durable (Oliver-proof) and a new rug. I am absolutely in love with the dining room above and have no shame in essentially copying it in my own house. I’m still on the hunt for a slightly less girly Aztec rug since it will someday be shared with Rob, but we’ve got plenty of time. But these chairs, I love. Is registering for furniture allowed, haha? We’ll sort that out later.
Throwing in a good succulent or green plant will round out the whole look. I’m already excited to eat at this table. What are your thoughts? Any resources for that less girly rug are also appreciated!
