For the most part, my day to day style consists of skinny jeans, a comfortable top and comfortable shoes (these booties are a dream) and on the days I really don’t want to think too hard, I reach for denim on denim, aka the Canadian Tuxedo.

I really don’t know any of the background on why denim on denim is called a Canadian tuxedo, and it really doesn’t matter to me. What I do know is that I’m happy they created such an easy, classic combination.

To dress is up, I like pairing it with a unique jacket. I love this shibori one (this shibori tasseled wrap would look awesome) I picked up at Anthropologie last year. It would also look great with this relaxed bomber jacket or a feminine lacy cardigan.

How do you like to wear your Canadian tuxedo?
