The Round Table

Our apartment is slowly coming together. I’m still hoping to get some artwork painted in the next month (when time allows) so our living room feels a bit more finished, but right now my main focus is the dining area. I can’t say room, because it’s all one room, but we desperately need a place to eat. Right now, we sit at the coffee table and cross our fingers we don’t spill on our white and grey rug.

After doing quite a bit of browsing, I decided that I really want a smaller round table. So many of the items in our house are square or rectangular that I think the addition of a different shape will soften the space. I’m also hoping for something lighter in color since we have some darker pieces in that room already. For me, the ideal table is this marble-topped Jensen table. I would have already bought it, but it’s backordered until August! I don’t know if I can eat at the coffee table for that long.

These other round tables are great as well, but I think my heart is set on a marble or white topped table. So I’m continuing to look, but also exploring the option of building my own (Dad, help!) if I can’t find exactly what I want. Wish me luck!
