A Perfect Party Dress

Next fall my sister and my sister-in-law are both getting married! In the meantime, there are a bunch of parties and showers on my calendar so I’ve had party dresses on my mind lately. Ironically, I feel like I’m more concerned with what I’m wearing to these parties than I was for my own wedding, ha!

I spotted this dress on ShopBop earlier this year and fell in love with it’s effortless, chic styling and of course, the off the shoulder styling! When ShopBop had their sale last month I took advantage and ordered it and I’m so glad I did. I love the way it looks on!

It is a bit on the shorter side, but I’m also 5’8”, so if you’re worried about that, take that into consideration! It’s actually longer in the back which I really like. Another tip, wear appropriate undergarments! I’s really swingy and full at the bottom and if a breeze comes by, well… you get the picture.

Last I checked, the navy is sold out, but it’s available in ochre which I also love, and black. MLM LABEL also makes a midi dress version with a tied waist, in soft pink, white and black. This adorable wrap dress with a flouncy hem is another of my favorites from them!

I know I keep bringing it up, but I’m totally in love with the off-the-shoulder pieces I’ve been seeing. What do you think about the style? What parties or events do you have coming up soon?!
