The best part, is that it’s not over yet. Last Wednesday I hit a low point. The weather really affects my mood and after a whole week of nasty, grey, rainy weather, I was feeling pretty crappy. But, yesterday’s sunshine and warmth really turned my mood around, and today is suppose to be even better! On Friday night, Rob and I went to dinner at one of our favorites, Tanta! Everything is so delicious there, but I was really excited about the empanadas for some reason, ha! They did not disappoint! We slept in late on Saturday and made a big brunch at home. I found a can of pumpkin in our pantry and decided to make a batch of these pumpkin pancakes that I made last fall. Not quite right for the season, but they are so yummy we ignored that fact. In the afternoon, I went to Bucktown to meet Shaheen. We walked the 606 and then had a quick lunch at Fairgrounds. Our night was pretty laid back and we begrudgingly gave Oliver a bath—never a fun experience, he hates it! Then went to dinner at Happy Camper! Today’s agenda is wide open and I’m pretty excited about it! I’m debating putting on my bikini and sitting outside for a bit. It’s suppose to be 74 and I could seriously use a tan! Other than that, I have no real plans today I’m pretty happy about it! I know I don’t usually post on the weekends, but I’m trying something new that I’m calling weekend finds. I typically spend an hour or so browsing my favorite stores while sipping my coffee on the weekend and I end up never sharing half of the stuff I come across. That changes today! First off, I hope your weekend was as great as ours and let me know what you think about this new little addition to the weekend! I wore a gingham dress that’s essentially the same cut as this one last year and it’s one of my favorites. The bow is so girly and fun! And, can we agree that stripes are always a good idea? ShopEaster is just around the corner and this sweet little blue dress would be perfect any brunch plans you have. ShopI’ve always loved J.Crew, but they’ve really been crushing it these past few months. I have a similar dress to this one and I wore it at least once a week last summer—such a good staple! ShopNot that I’m going to the beach anytime soon, but I love this one-piece! The back is really unique too! ShopI live in casual dresses in the summer and this one is perfect. I love the loose fit and lace-up detail. ShopEvery girl needs a good black dress and I have to say, I’m pretty smitten with this one. I love the wrap around bow detail and the length. ShopObsessed with this gingham top with tie-front detail. Ann Taylor’s spring stuff is GORGEOUS! ShopI’m usually not a fan of strapless things, but this romper looks so comfortable and effortless. ShopI’m in love with this feminine blouse! It’d look super cute with a black denim skirt. It also comes in a dress version! ShopI love these big punchy stripes and what’s great about this skirt is that you can dress it up and down. Pair it with a blouse and heels for work, or sneakers and a white tee for the weekend.
