Giddy for Gingham
The one thing I continually miss about my Lincoln Park walk up is the accessibility to lots of green space. My old place was just a quick 5 minute walk to Lincoln Park and a few minutes later you’d find yourself at the lakefront.
We do live close to the water, but greenery? Not so easy to find. Thankfully, there is one little escape just a few minutes from our new apartment and I find myself there just about everyday. The Chicago Riverwalk is Oliver & I’s go to walking spot for either our morning or afternoon walk (sometimes both!). It’s less crowded and a whole lot quieter. It’s my little green spot in the middle of the city and I love it.
A few weeks back, we took an afternoon stroll down there and snapped these pictures on a gorgeous day. I wore this new gingham dress (under $75) from Shopbop with a cool cut-out back and these funky flatforms from my Anthropologie collaboration from last week. Outfits like this are my favorite for summer. They’re playful, child-like and oh-so comfortable!
