How is it Monday again?! I swear, the weeks have been flying by at record pace, which I’m not really complaining about, but I still feel like every time I look up, another month is in the rearview mirror already. We had a relaxing weekend and I focused on catching up on sleep after last week. We had so many stormy nights that kept me up!

We snapped these pictures in Georgia a few weeks ago and I’m in love with this dress. It’s made by the same designer of one of my all-time favorites dresses from last year, Carolina K. All of her pieces have a casual, boho vibe to them that make them so perfect for summer and beach vacations. Speaking of beach vacations, we’re heading to Amelia Island at the end of the month for a long weekend trip that will double as a baby-moon and our 3 year anniversary celebration! Sometimes I can’t believe it’s been three years since we got married—it’s flown by, though lots has changed since then!

The rest of today’s post is, well, very random! I’m sharing some life updates, random thoughts and musings—enjoy!

When it comes to my hair, I’m really impulsive. I came across this post and this post where my hair is shorter and now I really want to chop it off again. Should I do it?! Rob says to leave it long, but I can’t decide.

Last week I forwarded this post and this post on a dad’s guide to a survival to Rob. He’s still got several months, but why not do some early reading?!

The Nordstrom Sale is currently happening and I’ve already done some shopping, but now have my eyes on this, this and this! It’s getting me excited for fall, which is kind of crazy because I feel like summer just started. I rounded up my favorite picks in this post last week too!

Last Tuesday, we went to Big Star to celebrate Jess’ birthday. It was the first time in months that Shaheen, Kelly, Jess and I had gotten together and it was so much fun! I laughed hysterically all night and came home feeling so content.

I’m finally feeling rested! Thankfully, I’ve been sleeping really well, but last week we had a lot of rain and storms here and Oliver came into our room and jumped in bed after a few loud thunder claps. He tends to pant and lick obsessively when nervous, so we had a few rough nights of sleep. Maybe he’s just prepping us for the baby?

Speaking of the baby, I realized I haven’t given an update in a while! I’m now 23 weeks into my pregnancy, which means I’m just a little over half way done—woo hoo! You can definitely tell that I’m pregnant now and my jeans don’t fit. I finally got ordered these maternity jeans so I’ll be sharing the details on those once I try them on. Baby boy has been kicking up a storm which is so fun! It tends to happen just after breakfast, after dinner and when I get into bed. Thankfully he hasn’t started kicking in the middle of the night and waking me up yet!

Also, I’m suddenly getting worried about stretch marks—any recommendations on products to use?!

Maxi dresses have become my new best friend. I use to not wear them that often, but with pregnancy, I’ve come to love them. They’re flowy and comfortable and depending on the color, you can easily wear it into fall with just a leather or suede jacket on top.

I’ve been in a nesting mood lately. When we moved in, we got everything mostly settled, but last week I started noticing some of the piles that I had just left sitting around and they’re driving me crazy. I started tackling them this weekend, but really want to finish up our living space and guest bath. We desperately need a brighter light for our living room and I love this one and this one—thoughts? I also want to get a big green plant for the corner. It doesn’t get much light—if you have any ideas on what works for low light, let me know!

I’m also starting to think about the nursery. The room is currently filled with all the stuff that didn’t have a place after we moved and suddenly it’s driving me crazy! I don’t have a solid idea of what I’m looking for, but have come across some adorable stuff that I’m sharing in a few weeks!

This week I have two things I’m really really excited about! One is lunch with my friend Regan. She’s a super talented food photographer and I love catching up with her and chatting all things creative. The second is a really exciting shoot on Friday. It won’t launch until September (most likely), but I’m really excited about it and can’t wait to share it with you guys!

That’s it for now! I hope you have a great start to your week! Be sure to stop by tomorrow—I’m sharing the next Health & Happiness challenge! And if you haven’t yet, you can sign up for my weekly wellness emails here !
