The weekend started early with Christine’s event at Madewell and just kept on rolling! Friday night we had a TCU/SMU alumni boat party that was a total blast. It also gave us the most beautiful views of the city at sunset.
Saturday, Oliver made his festival debut at West Fest and loved every minute of it. We moved over to Division and had a few more drinks and ate the tastiest BBQ chips at Smoke Daddy before finishing up the night at Bob San Sushi across the way. Delicious sushi, by the way.
My roomie, Arleigh and I headed to brunch at Southport Grocery on the early side to beat the crowd. I had the breakfast bruschetta, something I will soon be recreating at home. I spent a good portion of that day doing errands, laundry and cleaning, which always makes the week easier. Sunday night we played beach volleyball for a couple of hours before calling it quits.
Overall, this was truly a fabulous weekend, but it also left me pretty exhausted. I’m looking forward to being at home in Dallas next week and celebrating two of my very good friends’ weddings and hopefully getting some rest in the days in between!
