When I decided strength would be this month’s theme, this first thing that came to mind was physical strength. I had just been to my trainer that morning and was feeling particular strong as I lifted Owen’s carseat and carried him sideways up our narrow staircase. But, when I really started thinking about strength, I realized that there are so many more definitions of the word. Physical strength is just one. About a week ago, I was journaling and these things just started pouring out of me and it suddenly strength felt like the perfect theme for this month! What I realized is that strength is found everywhere. Sure, your body is an easy one, maybe even mental strength, but it’s everywhere. So, this month’s goal will be to encourage you to find strength where you need it most. Maybe it’s the strength to be brave, vulnerable, adventurous and honest. Or, the strength to make changes in your own life that you know you need, but are scared to make. Wherever area of your life you’re needing to be strong, I hope I can provide a little bit extra encouragement this month. I’ve found so much strength within myself as our life continues to change, and this month in particular will be another one of lots of change. We moved apartments—again, Owen will start solids for the first time, I’m setting new goals for my health and personal wellness, I’m implementing some new things in my business (mostly on the backend), I’m taking further steps to heal my body, and I’ll be celebrating my very first Mother’s Day as a mom. As summer approaches and we settle in, I’m also looking forward to focusing more on living and being present in the moment. For me, finding strength to say no in order to bring more happiness and peace into my life is a big goal. I find myself saying yes to too many things that I don’t really want to do and my goal for this month is to be brave and stand up for what I really want. What area of your own life do you wish you felt stronger or more confident? BTW, 6 things that help me feel less stressed, and 6 ways to spark joy everyday.
