Earlier this month, I was in Dallas for Rob & I’s engagement party. After weeks and weeks of freezing temperatures, I was pretty pumped for the 45 degree weather that greeted me on my first night in Dallas. Even though it wasn’t warm, it still felt pretty heavenly, so I took the opportunity and ditched my coat and traded in the black booties I’ve worn all season for some strappy heels. Oh, and definitely skipped the tights with my skirt! What a treat.
We spent our first night at dinner with my grandparents at Smoke. It’s a really cool restaurant in an off-the-beaten path in Dallas and when the sun was setting, the view of downtown was pretty spectacular! The food is also pretty incredible. I feel like I only eat BBQ in the summer, but indulged in spicy smoked pork ribs and mac n’ cheese. Totally worth it.
Even though we’re back in Chicago now, I know that this midi skirt will be on heavy rotation throughout the spring and summer. The length is great and I love how the sheer panels make this girly skirt a little bit edgier. I might have to add a few more midi skirts to my closet before summer gets here as it seems they’re here to stay!
I clearly have a little love affair with this trend, but what’s your take? Something you’d wear?
