February 3, 2015 BeautyWinter Skin Rescue Pin60 Share10 Tweet8 Reddit StumbleShares 78 I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve never had perfect skin. My genetics dealt me oily, acne-prone skin and it’s something that I continue to deal with even into my late-20s. Sure, it’s not ideal, but it’s reality. After my first winter in Chicago, the craziest thing happened. Oily skin was no longer the issue, but instead, incredibly dry, wind-chapped skin —something I had never had to deal with in the past. Thankfully, bareMinerals Complexion Rescue literally came to my rescue just in time this January, saving me from dry, peeling skin this winter. Subscribe Today! I’ve been using bareMinerals since college and love that the makeup doesn’t just simply hide flaws, but it actually helps reverse and heal those flaws, making my skin more beautiful and healthy while hiding blemishes in the meantime. The older I get, the more I care about the products I use on my body, and knowing that bareMinerals acts more like skincare than makeup has made it a favorite beauty product of mine. Complexion Rescue is basically a BB cream, CC cream and tinted moisturizer all rolled up into one incredible product that can increase your skin’s hydration 215% in just one week! It’s easy to apply and spreads evenly and smoothly without feeling heavy or cakey. I’m obsessed with the smoothing face brush that gives you an air-brushed flawless look. For days when I need a little extra coverage, I find that it’s easy to build up without looking like I have too much makeup on. It’s been a little over a week since Complexion Rescue hit the shelves and I’ve been using it ever since and have noticed a huge difference. The dry spots have continued to become less and less dry over the days and my skin feels and looks more hydrated, bright and overall, less tired (you know what I’m talking about, right?). To complete my makeup routine, I’ve been using one of three of bareMinerals neutral palettes — Posh Neutrals, Power Neutrals or Sexy Neutrals — depending on where I’m going and what I’m wearing. They come with three ways to wear each palette which is amazing for people like me who are not naturally good at applying eye shadow. Lastly, I put on bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick. Right now my three favorites are Dream Big, Express Yourself & Fall in Love — all neutral and all gorgeous! If you deal with seasonal complexion issues like me, I highly recommend you give Complexion Rescue a try! And pick up one of those lipsticks and gorgeous eye shadow palettes and get beautiful!
