Hiding In The Ferns & A Giveaway

Another Monday! I have to say, I’m feeling far more rested this week. Last Monday was Wandeleur’s launch and I had been up way too late the night before! Today, I actually got up early, which never happens, and have decided to tackle my morning differently after listening to this podcast that Jess suggested.

Since it’s still freezing outside, I’m sharing another look from my shoot at the Lincoln Park Conservatory, and pretending it’s warm and sunny! The gardens in here were the perfect backdrop for this floral crop top from TopShop (similar here and here) and this pleated skirt from ASOS. I love that the lower half of the skirt is more sheer and I love the way it swings as I walk. It makes me feel ultra girly and chic, something snow boots will never be able to accomplish! I paired it with these stunning Elsie Pumps from J.Crew. The peachy nude color is perfect for spring and they are really comfortable too! I keep wearing them around the house since there’s still too much snow outside.

For a fun and unexpected pop, I paired this outfit with my new GAIA For Women Foldover Clutch. I love mixing patterns and the leopard and orange is fun combination against the floral top! What makes GAIA even more special is that all their products are made by hand by resettled refugee women in Dallas. They use vintage, repurposed and sustainable materials to make their gorgeous and unique bags and other goodies. The ultimate goal for GAIA is to give these women financial independence through training and building their skills. Pretty awesome, right?
