A few nights ago we had pizza for dinner and if there’s one thing you need to know about me, it’s that I love pizza. Excuse me, we love pizza. I also happen to be pretty good at making pizza, but I’ll dig into that another day.
While we were eating our pizza that night, it reminded me of a daydream Rob and I used to share. It’s one of those ‘if we win the lottery and never have to worry about money again’ conversations that’s so fun to talk and dream about! Then you realize you didn’t win the lottery and still have to work, but either way. It’s always entertaining. Please tell me you’ve done this before, and that we’re not just weirdos.
One of our lofty dreams was that Rob, who loves beer, would open his own brewery and I’d pub part that served up his delicious beer as well as my awesome pizza. We’d obviously have someone else to run it for the most part because if we had all that cash, we’d likely be traveling the world or living in different cities for months at a time, but it seemed like it could be a nice distraction for us when we came home and needed a hobby. Haha, we can all dream!
Anyway, you’re probably wondering how all this pizza talk has anything to do with what I’m wearing and to be honest, it really doesn’t. I just happened to be wearing it when we went for dinner that night. But like our lofty dreams, the flowing lace up shirt and fringed shawl of this look make me think of easy, stress-free days and I don’t mind that one bit.
Remember a few weeks back when I talked about defining your personal style? This is one of those outfits that fits that more bohemian side that I’ve got in me. I always feel a little edgier and cooler when I dress this way. Do certain outfits make you feel different like that?
So, back to that pipe dream. Yes, it’s crazy and will most likely never happen, but I think talking about stuff like this keeps us young and adventurous and hungry to see more, try more and do more. What kind of pipe dreams do you have? Any you and your partner share?
