As you guys know, I run my own business and my day to day schedule is pretty much always different. While I love getting dressed up, sometimes my hectic schedule doesn’t allow for heels and a dress, so instead I reach for something comfortable like chambray. I think my favorite thing about chambray shirts is that they’re all so different and they can be dressed up or down.
Today I’ve partnered with HP and Meghan Trainor to show you 4 ways to wear chambray inspired by the 4 modes of the HPx360. HP will be with Meghan as she heads out on her ‘That Bass Tour’ (you know you love that song).
1. Super Casual: If I know I’m not going anywhere important that day, this is most likely what I’ve got on. The softest chambray shirt from Anthropologie and boyfriend chinos that are also incredibly soft. In the mornings I typically catch up on emails on the couch in laptop mode. It’s the easiest for browsing and of course typing!
2. Layered: This is perfect for spring and summer! I love bringing a chambray shirt as a sweater of sorts and tossing it over a tank top for cooler nights. I also love wearing it open with layered necklaces to change my casual looks up. I’ve been loving the tablet mode of the HPx360 for quickly looking at recipes before cooking dinner and reading some of my favorite blogs and websites when I wake up.
3. Casual Chic: I’d say this is my most loved look. Ankle skinny jeans on bottom, an over-washed chambray shirt (obsessed with this one), tailored sweater and nude pumps. For the most part it’s a super casual look, but a pair of nude pumps dresses it up and makes me feel a heck of a lot more professional.
4. Dressed Up: For the last way to wear chambray, I paired it with a pencil skirt. I love how the fullness of the top contrasts against the fitted skirt. I also love the color contrast here. Typically I wear this skirt with dressier tops, but paired with a chambray top it’s perfect for everyday wear.
On a side note, I’m also super excited to bring this computer with us when we travel. It’s slim and lightweight and fits into my bag perfectly. We have quite a few trips planned in the spring and summer months and carrying this will be so much easier than a laptop and a tablet. The stand mode will get plenty of use while we binge-watch our favorite TV shows on longer flights.
